Offering delicious food with exquisite views, the recently refurbished Beach Café at Tintagel Castle is a fantastic place to eat in Cornwall - serving scrumptious cakes, coffees and light lunches.
Originally used as the offices for Tintagel's silver and lead mines, the café has been completely refurnished to reflect its industrial past. The beautiful slate floors, copper lights and high wooden beams create a welcoming atmosphere, whilst respecting the building's history.
The delicious menu offers visitors a real taste of Cornwall with highlights including crab terrine, locally caught fish and Cornish rarebit - plus a variety of local beer and wine.
Tintagel Castle isn't only home to the story of King Arthur - the Beach Café's cream teas have also become the stuff of legend. With mouth-watering strawberry jam, Cornish clotted cream and soft, crumbly scones...
The café is fully accessible for all visitors.
The Mill House Inn offers great food and drink; Menus are changed regularly and concentrate on the use of the best fresh fish, meat, produce and other ingredients all sourced locally, in and around North Cornwall.
Sharps and Tintagel Brewery local ales and an unusual and creative wine list compliment the lunch and dinner menus. The Mill House is proud to be mentioned in several guides and publications, Alastair Sawdays Special Places Pubs and Inns and The Good Pub Guide.
We are also pleased to be able to offer The Mill House dining room for meetings, weddings, parties, lunches, and dinners, both private and corporate. Should you require more room, the Hotel itself is available for hire for any special occasion.
To discuss your stay, or private booking requirements, please do not hesitate to contact the Duty Manager at the hotel. All our staff are friendly, experienced and knowledgeable and will do their utmost to make you feel at home.
The Hotel and Restaurant are open all year so whatever the season you can enjoy a relaxing stay at The Mill House.
Why are we "more than just a cafe"? Well if you visit us you'll instantly get it, when you step inside you get the vibe of a cafe, no pretence, just a relaxed, comfortable place to eat and drink, but our food pushes the boundaries of what you'd expect from a cafe. We're giving you the best of both worlds.
We're a bit obsessed with the food we serve and the service we provide, but don't for a second think we're an emotionless machine, we have fun whilst we work and we're in this because we love it!
It's been well over a decade since Blue Tomato opened in Rock, over the years things have evolved, there's been some fine tuning, and re-thinking, and we now think we've got the perfect equation; great food and drink, friendly helpful staff, a laid-back atmosphere and mesmerising views. We'd love you to visit us, even if it's just for a cup of coffee and a chin wag.
